BARN PLAYLIST – JULY

You know the drill. It’s a new month, and as always, we’ve got another incendiary playlist of songs to cool you down as those July temps rise to scorching peaks.

Leading off, we’ve got the cathartic farewell track from New York garage favorites LVL UP, as well as the searing return of Canadian lo-fi rockers DILLY DALLY. Additionally, there’s Chilean producer Dinamarca’s bizarro reggaeton/trance hybrid, and Nine Inch Nails’ freaky industrial-jazz experimentation. We’ve also got some dynamic hip-hop singles including a couple tracks from the recently-incarcerated 03 Greedo, a breakout hood anthem by Lil Tee & 80 Proof, as well a sweet gangsta-rap love song from Floridian up-and-comer YNW Melly.

And if that’s not enough, there’s also a tongue-in-cheek romance ballad from local surf-punk heroes The Frights, a melancholic ode to broken souls by Spiritualized, and finally, a tear-jerking curtain-drop from San Francisco’s Them Are Us Too. Shoegaze, dream-pop, backpack rap, IDM, coffee shop indie, and more all collide on this explosive set of songs. Barn Cats, eat your hearts out below via Spotify AND Apple Music.
